Job Description

Our Senior Relationship Manager/Financial Planner is expected to take full charge of managing financial planning engagements and client relationships of Linscomb & Williams.

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The candidate must be self motivated, independent, have the ability to multi-task, and be able to handle a high volume of activity. Excellent organizational and communication skills are required, and the ability to work independently, as well as as part of a team. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.   • Conduct inquiry meetings with prospective clients to gather financial information, determine their financial goals, and assess potential scope of financial planning engagement.
  • Propose and price financial planning engagements with individual clients.
  • Prepare analysis and recommendations in all major financial planning areas for presentation to client, working with outside professionals as necessary.
  • Present financial planning recommendations in all major financial planning areas.
  • Conclude engagements by directing clients to appropriate resources for implementation of financial planning recommendations.
  • Partner with internal investment manager to engage L&W as client’s wealth manager.
  • Respond to inquires from existing clients and update financial planning recommendations as necessary when requested by client.
  • Some business development responsibilities.

Qualifications

Education & Experience:

  • Master’s degree (M.A.) or equivalent, CPA or JD
  • Ten years related experience and/or training.

Skills:

  • Proficient computer skills: Financial Planning software, database management programs, and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word)
  • Excellent organizational skills

Certificates and Licenses:

  • Certified Financial Planner CFP® designation and CPA/PFS (Personal Financial Specialist) required.
